Axial is happy to release its 2024 publication of the Top 50 Lower Middle Market Industrials Investors and M&A Advisors: a list that features Axial’s 50 most active and sought-after members who worked on in transactions across various industrials sectors over the past 12 months (full methodology below).
Industrials has always been a leading industry for deal flow on the Axial platform, and Q1 of 2024 was no exception. Last quarter, the number of deals marketed in the industrials space on Axial was the highest it’s been since mid-year 2022, and it held fast (by more than 30%!) to its number one position on the “deal flow by industry” ranking. And while pursuit levels were a bit lower on industrials deals overall, those with more than $3M in EBITDA had higher-than-average pursuit rates, outpacing 10%.
We invite you to take a look at the below platform data for the beginning of this year and celebrate the top 50 buyers and sellers that made those numbers a reality.

Methodology
Our Top 50 industrials list was generated based on a weighted formula leveraging four key metrics:
- The number of industrial deals brought to market via Axial (sell-side)
- The level of interest those deals generated from Axial’s buyside member base
- The number of specific industrial-focused investment mandates created in the platform (buyside)
- The number of industrial deals that progressed through the deal funnel achieving a signed NDA, shared CIM, received IOI, received LOI, executed LOI or successfully consummated transaction (buyside & sell-side).
Congratulations to these members for their achievements!
