Premara Group Advises Ayrshare in Sale to saas.group

Tags

“Ayrshare started as a simple idea: give developers and businesses an API-first way to manage social media at scale. What began as a small project grew into a platform trusted worldwide. The sale to saas.group ensures that Ayrshare’s foundation remains strong, while opening the door to the next stage of growth.” — Boris Markovich, Co-Founder, Ayrshare

The Acquired Business

Location: New York, NY | Website: www.ayrshare.com

Description: Founded in 2020, Ayrshare is a leading social media API platform that enables developers and businesses to publish posts, schedule content, manage comments, and analyze performance across more than 13 major social networks, including Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube, through a single, unified API. Thousands of SaaS platforms, agencies, CRMs, and enterprises rely on Ayrshare as their core social media infrastructure.

Reason for Exit: Ayrshare’s co-founders had scaled the platform to an inflection point. They believed a larger, operationally experienced organization would be better positioned to take the business to its next stage of growth by expanding market reach and continuing to invest in the product while preserving the API-first culture and community they had built.

“Building Ayrshare has been an incredible journey — from an idea to a platform trusted by thousands of developers and businesses. Partnering with saas.group marks an exciting new chapter that allows us to accelerate growth while staying true to our API-first vision.”

— Geoff Bourne, Co-Founder, Ayrshare

How the Deal Came Together

When Ayrshare’s co-founders were preparing for an exit, they knew they needed an M&A advisor who could speak the language of SaaS buyers and position the business credibly in a specialized market. Through Axial’s Advisor Finder Program, they were introduced to three vetted advisors, ultimately selecting Premara Group, a firm uniquely suited to the engagement, given its operator background in tech and proven track record advising software-focused founders.

Premara Group ran a competitive process that surfaced strong interest from multiple buyer types. Ultimately, saas.group, a global acquirer of profitable SaaS businesses with a portfolio of 24 companies, emerged as the right fit. saas.group had previously acquired and significantly scaled API-first businesses such as Prerender, and brings significant social media expertise through its ownership of Juicer, a social media wall provider.

With a strategy centered on acquiring brands that can be scaled to become market leaders in their respective niches, Ayrshare fit the profile perfectly. saas.group’s founder-friendly acquisition approach, operational resources, and commitment to product continuity aligned directly with what Ayrshare’s founders were looking for in a successor. The deal marked saas.group’s 24th acquisition, further expanding their North American presence.

Premara Group’s Josh Robbins and Colin Kent served as Ayrshare’s M&A advisor throughout the transaction. The Law Offices of Andrew Dressel advised Ayrshare on legal matters.

Since the sale, Geoff and Boris have turned their focus to Jamdesk, a developer-first documentation platform helping teams build beautiful, API-ready docs.
