Femi Barin is a Houston-based search entrepreneur with 10+ years of experience advising corporate clients on M&A strategy; he is now in the process of identifying and acquiring a small business himself.
He is pursuing search entrepreneurship to fulfill his lifelong goal of shaping the vision and culture of an enterprise in a way that positively impacts its employees and the community the business serves.
Femi is focusing his search on businesses in specialized waste management and recycling, including medical waste, e-waste recycling, and food waste management. He is drawn to this industry because it provides mission-critical services, where reliability is generally rewarded with strong customer retention. His interest is also personal: after immigrating from Nigeria to the U.S., he saw firsthand the difference between places with strong waste infrastructure and places without it.
Femi earned a B.S. in Mathematics from The University of Texas. Outside of work, he enjoys playing sports and actively participates in his alma mater’s alumni association, where he serves as Social Chair.
