In 1998, three college friends established The Sofa Company, a local Los Angeles based sofa specialty shop with a unique concept in “You design it, we build it!”. Jim, Peter, and Nick's goal was simple enough - to build a fun, simple way for residences' throughout Los Angeles to customize upholstery products that would fit their homes and lifestyle.
Now, more than 15 years later, The Sofa Company manufactures its own designs and models straight from their central headquarters in Downtown Los Angeles. This allows each personalized sofa to be designed by the customer and then built and delivered locally in a quick and easy turnaround time.
