Prior to Snowcap, Cole worked at Garnett Station Partners, a leading investment firm with over $3.5 billion of Assets Under Management. At GSP, Cole worked on a number of the firm’s investments across consumer and business services, health and wellness, automotive, and food and beverage. He was also actively involved in thesis development in a range of other verticals.
One of Cole's notable deals at GSP was WOW Carwash, a Las Vegas, Nevada-based express carwash business. Cole was actively involved in the diligence and execution of the deal as well as in value creation initiatives post-closing. He built the company's dynamic cash forecast and budget, both of which were used to inform new unit construction planning and financing alternatives. WOW doubled its location count in less than 2 years after GSP's partnership. This deal provided Cole with strong operational and real estate-related insights.
Another notable deal was Mambo Seafood, a Houston, Texas-based casual dining chain. Cole was engaged in the diligence, closing, and post-closing phases of the deal. He led the financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis function for the first ~6 months post-closing, helping to professionalize this aspect of the business and support a newly hired CFO.
Both of these experiences, among many others, provided Cole with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to efficiently diligence and close deals. His experience working on lean teams at GSP enabled him to work closely with the firm's founding partners and portfolio company management teams.
Prior to GSP, Cole worked at Jefferies in the firm’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group, focusing primarily on multi-site healthcare services companies, including verticals such as dental, eyecare / ophthalmology, veterinary, mental health, and dermatology.
Cole received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School and a Bachelor of Commerce with Dean’s Honour List recognition from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University.
