Matt Brown is a private equity investor and operator with twenty years of experience across M&A, special situations, and operational transformation, having personally led or co-led more than 25 transactions representing over $10 billion in enterprise value. He is CEO and Co-Chairman of Wilco 63 Corporation (NASDAQ: WLCO), a $200 million SPAC targeting technology-enabled businesses in AI, automation, and robotics, and Founder of Skyladder Capital, a family office focused on natural resources, services automation, and education.
Throughout his career, Matt helped build and operate businesses across healthcare automation, fintech, and business process automation, creating platforms generating over $1.5Bn in annual revenue and serving over 60% of the Fortune 100. As an operating partner, he most recently served as Interim CFO of Exela Technologies (NASDAQ: XELA), where he led the restructuring and recapitalization of the $1 billion revenue company, eliminating $1.1 billion in debt and completing its merger with XBP Global.
Matt holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from UC San Diego and is a past TEDx speaker on clean energy.
