Rob Midelton is part of a small team of three experienced operators actively looking to acquire and run a great business in or close to southeast MI, or that is relocatable or not tied to a geography. The targeted size is in the $750k-$1.5M SDE range. Rob will be stepping in as the full-time, day-to-day operator, backed by 2 partners with deep experience in operations, acquisitions, and growth strategy. The three of us are contributing meaningful equity and are set up to move quickly.
Rob is a high-integrity operator and executive leader with over 20 years (post-MBA from Chicago Booth) of experience leading strategy, executing transactions, and driving profitable growth in healthcare. With a proven track record in both large health systems and insurers, Rob has led businesses through major expansion and change, built new national business units, improved systems and processes, and successfully delivered multimillion-dollar outcomes—including the deployment of over $300 million in capital, the launch of a product that generated more than $2 million in annual profit, and margin improvements of up to 10% in targeted facilities—all with a focus on execution, accountability, and long-term value creation.
In previous leadership roles, Rob has overseen strategic planning, managed complex budgets and capital decisions, and led cross-functional teams in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments. He brings deep experience creating clear structures that improve efficiency, align people, and support sustainable results.
Rob thrives in the day-to-day realities of small to mid-sized business ownership—managing operations, leading people, and solving problems with a practical, hands-on approach. With real-world experience building profitable initiatives from the ground up, he understands what it takes to create value, lead through change, and build businesses that last.
I have a preference for healthcare or healthcare adjacent businesses, especially companies that serve aging seniors, given associated tailwinds. However, I am open to consider a wide range of other industries if it is a solid business with steady cash flow.
