Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel, Architects, DPC is one of New York’s most highly regarded full-service architecture and interior design firms. We have an outstanding portfolio of commercial and residential interior design projects, new residential and commercial buildings and hospitality and historic preservation projects that keeps us in demand among top clients internationally. Our client roster includes Hyatt International, Zuma, Silverstein Properties, The Durst Organization, Tishman Speyer Properties, Equity Residential and Kushner Companies. We also have numerous public sector projects to our credit, primarily for the City of New York, as well as such prestige restoration commissions as the 1845 Samuel Tredwell Skidmore House and the restoration and adaptive reuse of the 1890 Temple Court building, a New York City Landmark being converted to a luxury hotel and residence. Recently completed projects include TEN23, a 111-unit luxury rental tower adjacent to New York’s elevated High Line park, the 32BJ SEIU union headquarters and, at the Grand Hyatt Istanbul, The Mansion meeting and event rooms and the restaurant 34. Current clients include God’s Love We Deliver, 4 World Trade Center, Bank of New York Mellon and New York’s Union League Club for which we are refurbishing the guest rooms. Founded in 1995, the firm has completed work on 40 million square feet of space.
GKV’s three founding principals, Randy Gerner, AIA, Richard N. Kronick, AIA, and Miguel Valcarcel, AIA, have been collaborating for 30 years. Principals Benita Welch, AIA, Joe Barbagallo, AIA, and Michael Fontaine, AIA, round out a staff of 60. GKV also provides LEED consulting and lighting design services.
