Formed in July 2012, Boston-based Fort Point Angels, an angel investment fund, makes seed and early-stage investments in growth-industry New England-based companies. Industries in which Fort Point invests include healthcare; medical device; transportation; consumer goods, products, and services; and, with other angel groups as co-investors, technology. We invest as an individual fund, or we co-invest and syndicate with other angel groups or VC companies. Fort Point has a diversification investment approach - our strategy is to grow our portfolio and invest in a large number of organizations. Our members have already committed capital, and managing partners make all investment decisions about where and how much to invest. After making an investment, Fort Point can participate in management and board activities; assist in future rounds of financing; and help you develop strategic partnerships, grow, and prosper. Named for Boston's up-and-coming Innovation District in the Seaport area of South Boston, Fort Point is comprised of successful entrepreneurs who have a proven track record of success. Entrepreneurs are welcome to submit business plans.
