About Our Company: Empire Business Advisors-Southeast helps individuals and companies buy and sell businesses in whole or in part.
Sell A Business We help business owners prepare their business for sale through chairing the business owner’s Exit Planning Team. We also help the owners gain a better understanding of the drivers of business value and offer guidance as appropriate. We coordinate the preparation of a business valuation and outline the most probable selling price range. We then manage and coordinate the business sale process from start to finish. The sales process includes outlining a sales strategy, preparing a marketing package, screening and managing potential Buyers, negotiating the purchase terms, and facilitating the financing and closing process.
Buy A Business: We help individual Buyers find, assess and negotiate attractive terms to acquire the right business for them; one that fits their skills, needs and their financial capabilities.
Acquire A Business: We also assist Companies seeking to grow through acquisition, by finding attractive target opportunities and representing the Company through the evaluation, negotiation, financing and closing process.
Private Equity Groups: We also have relationships with certain private equity groups and work with lower middle market Companies to sell their business, in whole or in part, to this Buyer group; a minority private equity investment in the Company can provide needed growth capital to enable either growing the business internally or enabling financing growth through acquisition.
Our People: Gary Gunderson brings a wealth of business experience to the service of his clients; he has an undergraduate Business Degree from the University Of Maryland and an MS Degree from Stanford; he has been a Fortune 50 company executive; a CEO of a mid-market company; a founder and owner of a technology startup; and a small business owner.
Fred Grant has had a successful career in the advanced software technology industry. He has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and graduate degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech. He has been successful in founding, growing and selling a software development company; he has also successfully managed divisions of a large technology company.
Geographic Areas Served: We can travel anywhere as clients require. Most of our clients are within North Carolina and South Carolina. We also have a client focus in the Upstate New York area.
Market/Industry Focus Areas: The Company targets divisions of larger companies or owner operated small business with revenues typically ranging from $1,000,000 to $30,000,000. We help clients in a wide variety of industries.
Professional Affiliations: Mr. Gunderson and Mr. Grant are members of the International Business Brokers Association and Carolinas Virginia Business Brokers Association. Mr. Gunderson is also the past President and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Carolinas Virginia Business Brokers Association.
