I spent 18 years as a professional investor at several buy-side institutions, the last 13 at GoldenTree Asset Management, where I was a Partner and Co-Head of the Industrials and Natural Resources team. My role involved making both debt and equity investments across a wide range of industries in both the public and private markets for the firm’s various funds and strategies. For many of these investments I worked directly with management teams to identify and enact strategies that created significant shareholder value, including positioning business lines towards growth/opportunity, exiting detracting lines of business, and identifying the most productive uses of capital. My work at GoldenTree and the investments I oversaw directly, and working alongside others on the team, generated exceptional returns for our investors over a long period of time. My goal now is to apply these same skills and my investment acumen to acquiring small businesses, or partnering with business owners to grow or transform their businesses, and position them to generate maximum value for shareholders.
