Archimedes Lighting Systems Corporation is a development stage, privately held corporation with a unique patented technology utilizing Ultra Violet Light Emitting Diodes (UV LEDs) to create a highly efficient, environmentally friendly, long lifespan light. The ALS Light is more energy efficient than incandescent, fluorescent or competing LED lighting solutions. And because the ALS solution contains no mercury vapor, it has none of the environmentally hazardous materials found in all fluorescent and compact fluorescent lights. The ALS Light will have a lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours compared to 4,000 – 8,000 hours for a fluorescent. The ALS Light addresses office, commercial and residential lighting needs—a market with annual revenues exceeding $100 billion.
