I initially built my food business - Legends Haul from a grown up brand, within 9 months after founding in 2019 I purchased a small competitor(Hills Foods). Today we are a $35M operating company located in Vancouver in a 45,000 sf production and distribution facility. I’m looking to continue to buy small/medium sized food companies who make less than $5M in EBITDA with real estate assets. The focus is a well run business with solid cash flows. I would look at strategic tuck ins to grow our geographic presence or other independent operating companies in food & beverage.
Kastan Mining is a Tanzanian registered copper mining and processing company that has installed the first modern copper leaching facility in Tanzania. The facility is expected to begin steady state production in mid-2014. The Company has also recently launched a small (50-60MW) integrated (Run-of-River hydropower, with limited solar and biomass components) renewable energy project to bring power to a mineral processing and downstream manufacturing Industrial Park the Company is developing to support the growing copper industry in Tanzania.
