Zoetic Pharmaceuticals Inc. was founded by John J. Seman, Chief Executive Officer, and Sven A. Beushausen, Chief Scientific Officer, and incorporated as a C-corporation in the State of New York on November 25th, 2014. The company licensed platform technology, pioneered by Dr. Sathy V. Balu-Iyer at the University at Buffalo School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, that has been shown to enhance the performance of bio-therapeutics by reducing immunogenicity, extending half life, and inducing product-specific immune tolerance. Dr. Balu-Iyer is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at SUNY - University at Buffalo and is a fellow of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS). His interdisciplinary research interests include biophysics/bioengineering, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and immunology. He received his Doctorate PhD degree in Molecular Biophysics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India, and was a post doctoral fellow in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, State University of New York at Buffalo.
Overall corporate objectives are to establish a series of "product specific" collaborative development agreements with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies for the worldwide commercialization of new bio-therapeutics enhanced by our technology platform.
