(i) As a direct investor into small and medium-sized businesses in the United States across the capital structure.
(ii) As a partner LP in U.S. Lower Middle-Market focused credit funds with an expertise in SBIC funds.
(iii) As a secondary purchaser of LP interests in small credit funds to provide liquidity to LPs.

Star Mountain aims to work with businesses who meet the following parameters:
(i) $10 - $200 million in annual revenue
(ii) $3 - $30 million in annual EBITDA
(iii) Founder or family operated
(iv) Industry agnostic (excluding oil & gas and real estate)
(v) Require financing for growth, acquisitions, refinancing, etc.
The Star Mountain Team:
Star Mountain Capital is 100% employee owned and all full-time employees share in the profits of the firm's funds. Star Mountain Capital was founded by Brett Hickey. A graduate of Harvard Business School's President Management Program, Brett has spent over a decade structuring, analyzing and managing private equity, mezzanine and U.S. Government sponsored investment funds. Prior to launching Star Mountain Capital, Mr. Hickey was the Co-Founder and President of a multi-manager platform including 4 U.S. state sponsored small business investment funds through which he made over 50 investments in small and medium-sized businesses. Mr. Hickey formerly worked as an Investment Banker at Citigroup Global Markets in New York City (fka Salomon Smith Barney) where he covered global Asset Managers and Financial Institutions. In that role he worked on over $8 billion in completed debt and equity capital raising and restructuring transactions for leading financial institutions including BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, Neuberger-Berman, Nuveen Investments and Eaton Vance.
Star Mountain is Chaired by Brian Finn. Mr. Finn was Chairman and Head of Alternative Investments at Credit Suisse, one of the world’s leading alternative managers with over $100 Billion AUM. Mr. Finn held many positions within CS and its predecessor firms, including President of Credit Suisse First Boston, President of Investment Banking, Co-President of Institutional Securities, CEO of Credit Suisse USA and a member of the Office of the Chairman of CSFB. Currently, Mr. Finn is a strategic adviser to KKR.
