I started my career buying and selling software companies for Cisco Systems. I then moved into the venture group where I spent several years investing in software companies. Across those two groups I did roughly ten billion dollars worth of buy side transactional work before leaving to build a SaaS company. After spending fifteen years investing in and building saas companies, I raised a fund from a very experienced group of ceo's to acquire one. I'm looking for an exceptional vertically focused saas company which I intend to acquire then actively manage as the ceo. Unlike other searchers I have spent my entire career investing in and building saas companies, which I think will matter to the right seller. We provide an alternative to selling to private equity, strategics, or searchers with no work experience. My group has created billions in enterprise value, we intend for that to be the foundation upon which we help the next company be enduringly successful.
I'm looking for a SaaS company serving a critical vertical, it is the system of record in that vertical and without it, it's customers couldn't operate. Because of the large problems it solves for its customers, it is very sticky ... less than five percent annual logo churn, ninety seven percent gross revenue retention rate, one hundred five percent net dollar retention or better. I'm also looking for consistent twenty percent arr growth year on year, and twenty percent plus ebitda margins ... rule of fourty or better.
