SMART Performance (SPI), which is becoming "TUNE" has been in the business of tuning and re-engineering air and hydraulic dampers (shocks) for the last 10 to 12 years. We have been a small family run business during this time. The focus hasn't been profit so much as it has been running it as an R&D "exploration" shop. But...we have a lot of very happy and dedicated customers as well. Two years ago, we found a way to develop a new type of shock, which applies to all shocks and forks on just about anything with wheels. In short, it's an active suspension design, but it's completely different approach than all previous attempts within this space. Active designs have always either been too complex, too costly and too heavy or more than one. Suspension engineers have failed at this potential by following traditional models that evolved from F1. The new design that we are working on is light weight, simple and has a lot more control over the vehicle - it control the vehicle in ways that are more important than traditional active designs. It also offers us a means to sell a hardware model that can be scaled via selling software. So the hardware sale is step one, followed by years of software updates and improvements. It really is a very VERY cool way to engineer a shock and fork...and we have arrived at a point that we feel completely confident that it could radically change the way that all shocks are done. In other words, we think we can do for shocks what NEST and GoPro did for the thermostat and camera. And the markets are just about as big as we want to take on. We really know this space, this industry, the designs that are out there, and we feel completely confident that this is going to be some great technology and it could apply to just about all vehicles. That could scale to be a very large market. Additionally, we feel that we have a very good initial understanding of the marketing and sales aspects behind our first stage markets, that can get us to about $300 to $1 billion in gross sales. This is not a "save our ship" investment. We are running this as a step-by-step prospect, super lean, learn as we go. Stay in the black (we'll...as close as possible).
