Quantakinetic Holdings, Inc. is a California “C” corporation that has been revived in November 30th, 2010 as a new business entity, completely independent from its predecessor but holding the same brand name, Quantakinetic, Inc., the former abandoned business Delaware Corporation, formed in January 5th, 2005.Quantakinetic Holdings, Inc. has been reformed under a new vision and business strategy by its initial owner and inventor Dumitru Bojiuc, and mandated to be the exclusive business management corporate and administrator of Quantakinetic Technologies™ (QKT™) an independent R&D Engineering business entity in formation, which continues to experiment, develop and apply for protection for many proprietary IP technological breakthroughs in rotating and linear electric motors and generators design and construction by creating the 360° Magnetic Monopole Field Effect Technology as well as 100% control of the BEMF counterproductive effect and efficiency in the power production.
TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
In its most fundamental terms, Quantakinetic Technologies™ represents the discovery and development of a proprietary set of technologies that – when combined – have enabled it to redesign and manufacture an electric motor/generator that delivers performance far beyond that which is currently believed possible. Quantakinetic Technologies™ technological breakthroughs include imbedding the proprietary magnetic coils within the also proprietary ferromagnetic core, the validation and exploitation of the Magnetic Monopole Field Effect (MMFE), the elimination of the Back Electro-Motive Forces (BEMF) effect, polarity switching and several other discoveries and design breakthroughs in the field of electromagnetism. By combining and harmonizing these discoveries and design breakthroughs, Quantakinetic Technologies™ has achieved truly revolutionary performances in its many generation demonstration models..
The inventor has filed numerous patents and associated claims for these inventions, many of which have already been issued. Management believes that, present and future patents will form a strong cluster of intellectual property (IP) protection that will “surround” the elements of Quantakinetic Technologies™ as a competitive brand name, and that will be necessary to enable Quantakinetic Holdings, Inc. and its investors to realize their full potential. The inventor is the majority shareholder of Quantakinetic Holdings, Inc., and is committed to remain as its chief science officer in order to continue the development of its technologies through each of the holdings JV.
Quantakinetic Holdings acknowledges that there are numerous “exotic” motor and/or generator technologies currently under development that offer the prospect of generating performance (power) that is well beyond that of conventional motors and generators. These ultra-high performance motors and generators utilize, and depend upon, exotic imported materials, cryogenic cooling systems, extremely high spin speeds, compact designs, and other techniques to achieve what promises to be exceptionally high performance using today’s standards – albeit at significantly higher cost.
However, Quantakinetic’s technological breakthroughs have enabled it to design and manufacture a motor/generator using conventional materials and spin speeds that not only far exceeds the performance of conventional motors and generators, but also that exceeds the performance of all of the exotic motor/generator technologies of which it is aware. As such, Quantakinetic Technologies™ will not only “dominate” current conventional motors and generators market on a cost/performance basis, it will surpass exotic applications as well.
Management therefore believes that many, if not most, of the exotic technologies under development will become obsolete in the relatively near term. In addition, when exotic materials and high spin speed designs are eventually applied to Quantakinetic Technologies™, the current definition of what is possible even with exotic motors and generators will be redefined at an even higher level of performance.
Key Aspects of Quantakinetic Technologies™ Performances
There are eight fundamental aspects of the performance breakthrough that Quantakinetic Technologies™ have achieved to date, and that are currently being validated through many independent tests:
1. First and foremost, the Quantakinetic Technologies™ motor/generator produces a significant multiple of the output energy (as measured in kilowatts or horsepower) per kilogram of weight, as compared to any known conventional electric motor or generator in existence today. Quantakinetic Technologies™ has accomplished this by discovering how to shape and control virtually all of the electro-magnetic forces in the motor/generator to produce power, and by a design that utilizes virtually the entire “form factor” of the motor/generator as “power producing mass”. This compares with conventional motors and generators, which exhibit “unavoidable” electro-magnetic energy losses, and which typically utilize only 15 to 20% of their form factor to produce power (the surface area between the core and the housing where the strongest portions of the magnetic fields cross over each other). This “multiplier” effect will change the way electric motors and generators are used in virtually every application in which they exist. In addition, it will make electric motors superior to fossil fuel consuming technologies in many applications where they are not today. It will also have significant influence on the limitations of battery powered electric motors, and therefore on the development of battery technology itself. The technologies will eventually redefine what the scientific and industrial communities now consider “possible”.
Importantly, this basic performance multiple is far more that an “efficiency improvement”, as efficiency is defined in the technical community. There are many conventional motors and generators that are highly efficient, as measured by the percentage of input energy that is captured to create power (as opposed to the remainder that is “lost” in the form of heat). Thus, a motor or generator that is already 70% efficient can only realize a 25% performance improvement, making it 95% efficient. Although Quantakinetic Technologies™ electric motor/generator is, in fact, highly efficient as will be discussed below, see the attached chart, the majority of its performance breakthrough is from its superior size and weight to power ratio. Two equally efficient 100 HP (74.56 KW) motors, one weighing 500 pounds (227 Kg) and the other weighing 50 pounds (22.7 Kg) or 100 pounds (45 Kg), are not equal. The former is exceptional; the latter is transformational.
2. The second important aspect of Quantakinetic Technologies™ is the “performance curve” it exhibits. The performance curve is the rate at which output energy rises as input energy is increased. All of today’s motors and generators exhibit a non-linear performance curve. They need to be “spun up” to designed and usually high revolutions per minute (RPMs), before significant horsepower or kilowatts are produced. The performance curve of the Quantakinetic Technologies™ motor/generator is a virtual straight line. Thus, motors and generators using Quantakinetic Technologies™ produce significantly more output over the range of RPM’s in applications where RPM’s are not held at a constant, high level. Obvious examples would be automobile and other transportation propulsion systems, wind turbines, and utility peaking units, among others. Even if the earlier mentioned multiplier effect did not exist, this characteristic alone would make the technology transformational.
3. Beyond the two dramatic performance characteristics described above, Quantakinetic Technologies™ motors and generators generate essentially no heat. In other words, they are highly efficient in conventional terms. These characteristic results from the fact that Quantakinetic Technologies™ inventor and architect has discovered how to manage electromagnetic phenomenon in a useful way and definitely avoiding the acceptance of the compromises just because the limitations recognized by field of use in physics and electrodynamics in general.
These electro-magnetic phenomenon are some of the important sources of conflicts as generating heat (energy loss) in all electric motors and generators today. On this point it should be noted that many scientists and engineers would argue that this achievement is not possible, based on accepted principles of electromagnetism. Empirical testing of Quantakinetic Technologies™ demonstration model will speak for itself on this characteristic. Again, if Quantakinetic Technologies™ had only achieved this result, in any field of use by applying this technology would be a significant breakthrough and would offer huge economic opportunity.
4. In addition, all Quantakinetic Technologies™ units are modular in design. An important and valuable aspect of modularity is that the motor/generator will continue to function, although with proportionally less output, even if one or more of the modules fail to accomplish the energetic work; and that means meantime that the failed modules can be easily replaced, by semi-skilled workers, on site. In distinct contrast, a single point of failure in a conventional motor/generator requires the unit to be taken off line to be repaired or replaced, typically at a specialized repair facility, by skilled workers. These characteristics have significant implications for the operating costs incurred by many users of motors and generators. For example, a major obstacle to profitable wind production is maintenance. As units fail, they must be taken off line for expensive repairs or re-builds, utilizing expensive cranes to remove and re-install the equipment as will be profiled later.
5. Quantakinetic Technologies™ motor/generators do not need accompanying gearboxes, transmissions or braking systems. This is accomplished through the combination of the proprietary winding systems and the use of Direct Drive (DD). Again, this fact alone would make Quantakinetic Technologies™ compelling in many large applications such as electric cars and wind turbines. See the chart below:
6. Management believes that the design integrity of the Quantakinetic motors and generators is actually simpler than that of conventional technology, and that it lends itself to robotic manufacture – making it potentially less expensive to manufacture, and reducing the failure or defect rate. Although these manufacturing and cost effectiveness aspects have yet to be proven, Management believes that well informed scientists and engineers will conclude from the very design of the motor/generator that is it simpler, and therefore more cost effective, than conventional technology.
7. In most applications, Quantakinetic Technologies™ require no exotic materials, superconductivity, cryogenic effects, or high spin speeds. It is made of indigenous conventional materials and produces increasing amounts of power at low, normal, and high spin speeds. Yet, its performance matches or exceeds that of any know exotic motor or generator. Moreover, although it has yet to be demonstrated, the eventual combining of exotic techniques with Quantakinetic Technologies™ should yield results well beyond those even being contemplated today with exotic motors and generators. This will open up entirely new applications and markets that are not “on the drawing board” today.
8. Finally, Quantakinetic Holdings management and its principal scientist believe that there are essentially no limitations to the scalability of the technologies – from small micro-motors the size of a fingertip, or smaller, to the largest wind, turbo and hydro-generators. It has designed (but not manufactured) motors and generators covering a wide range of applications. In each case, the “physics” are the same. Through Quantakinetic Technologies™, essentially, scaling is continuous. The technologies can also be configured in various form factors (shapes), making possible to design an unlimited range and type of rotating and linear motors and generators.
Comparison to Current Technology
Combining the characteristics outlined above, Quantakinetic Technologies™ has designed, built and experimented its latest generation DC motor/generator – the Experimental QKT™ unit, which proves the inventor’s approach of how the counterproductive BEMF can be controlled and increase the unit’s efficiency and energy density per weight at any RPM many times. As a “demonstration model”, the Experimental QKT™ unit, in this experiment, utilizes a radial magnetic flux design, and is configured as a self-adjusting magnetic field DC motor/generator, or better said “wire to wire DC Unit” which means that no complicated intermediary electronic circuits and softwares are used in order to accomplish the electromagnetic timing needed that sooner or later would end up in a uncontrollable effect or catastrophic failure. This is accomplished by a specific inventor’s proprietary design and electrodynamics approach.
In addition, this means that the Experimental QKT™ unit produces dramatically more power at low RPMs than conventional technologies – resulting in actual performance-to-weight ratios that are not considered feasible by the scientific community today without applying a special treatment or materials in manufacturing.
These dramatic performance advantages are demonstrated by comparing the Experimental QKT™ unit motor/generator to one based on current (conventional) technology. The inner active “energetic ingredients” of the Experimental QKT™ unit is dramatically smaller and lighter than the comparison motor/generators. The current technology motor/generator is over 2 - 5 times larger than the Experimental QKT™ unit as measured by cubic meters of their respective form factors.
Finally, the Weight Ratio and Power-to-RPM Ratio can be combined to demonstrate the combined effect of the Experimental QKT™ unit weight and low RPM output advantages. In addition, these measures do not reflect the Quantakinetic Technologies™ other advantages – such as low heat production, modularity and self-braking – all of which combine to produce transformative results depending on the application.
Furthermore, Quantakinetic already possesses the technology and is prepared to design and build its next generation motor/generator meant to be a costume designed “ready to manufacture” unit for a specific application. In addition to all of the performance characteristics described above, the next generation unit will produce a dramatically steeper power curve than even the previous version – making the technology even more transformative in low and direct drive variable RPM applications such as renewable electricity generation (wind, hydro, tidal) and all forms of propulsion needed in the automotive and naval/marine industry.
A Note on Green Effects
Before moving on, a note is in order regarding the “green effects” of Quantakinetic Technologies™. In any application relying on non-renewable energy, consumption of fossil fuel or current drawn from a battery (which needs to be recharged using fossil fuel based electric generation) is required to power the motor or generator. The amount of “fuel” consumed per unit of motor/generator output is the best measure of the degree to which a technology reduces emissions (compared to an alternative technology). The first four of the eight characteristics of Quantakinetic technology combine to make it an exceptionally green technology:
First, its power to weigh ratio multiplier will reduce the weight of any vehicle in transportation applications; and, all other considerations of the Quantakinetic Technologies™ notwithstanding, the vehicles will consume relatively less motive energy.
Second, and more important, the straight-line power curve will significantly reduce the energy consumed over time and relative to output over time. This means that automobiles, other forms of transportation, windmills, peaking generators and many other applications should see fuel (or battery) efficiency improvements of 20-30% based on this factor alone.
Third – the lack of heat buildup – will be equally important in all applications, including “constant spin” uses such as base load electric generators. Heat is energy loss. The fuel powering a motor or generator must also directly “power” the heat loss. The 95% efficient motor uses 35% less fuel than the 70% efficient motor. This is a law of physics.
Fourth, the unique and proprietary, self-braking and regenerative characteristics of Quantakinetic Technologies™ motors and generators, creates an additional fuel savings, particularly in electric vehicle applications.
Today, electric and hybrid vehicles just partially recharge the batteries during braking. Quantakinetic’s technology is safe self-braking. Moreover, the lack of gearboxes made possible by the safe self-braking effect further reduces vehicle weight, adding yet another efficiency factor.
Although “field tests” of the combined effects of these characteristics have yet to be performed, test results and calculations of each of the individual effects suggest that fuel efficiency improvements as high as 50%, or more, will be realized in transportation and other “variable work” applications. This will make the proposed Quantakinetic’s power system not just as (or more) fuel-efficient as any exotic technology (or system) under development today but even less complicated in manufacturing than we have to accept because the design limitations of the prior art developments. In addition, it will be accomplished with a design that is easily manufactured and with ordinary materials; and will operate with high reliability and low maintenance costs. It promises in fact to be the ultimate “green” technology.
FUNDAMENTAL IMPLICATIONS
The knowledgeable reader of the above paragraphs will recognize that, if true, Quantakinetic Technologies™ will have profound impacts on virtually every aspect of the industrialized world, as we know it today. An electric motor or generator with even two times the output per unit of mass, that can be manufactured and operated with equal or better economics, creates transformational opportunities for many electric power generation and electric motor applications, and points to the replacement of other technologies.
Quantakinetic Technologies™ combine to achieve well in excess of two times today’s output per unit of mass, as well as the other advantages described above.
As such, Quantakinetic Technologies™ will eventually become as pervasive as electric motors and generators, themselves, are today. Furthermore, the performance characteristics described above will dramatically change the way motors and generators are used, and will make many of the world’s current configurations obsolete. In addition, very new applications will emerge which can only be speculated on today.
