Poiesis Medical LLC was founded in 2009 to develop and bring to market advanced urinary care products. Its first product is the Duette™, an FDA cleared, innovative indwelling urinary drainage system. The Duette™ is designed to reduce the clinically confirmed, adverse effects of traditional Foley catheters, including the occurrence of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI). CAUTI is the number one source of hospital-acquired infections which costs US healthcare providers three billion dollars annually.

The results of these pilots will be publishable data that will have a higher degree of integrity and thus an increased propensity to influence other acute customers versus the traditional company sponsored and paid for IRB approach. • Duette Product Line Expansion: Currently our offerings cover 85% of indwelling catheter use. Expand product line with additional sizes and temperature-sensing products. By broadening the line we position Poiesis and the Duette™ to be "top of mind". • Patents: Primary US Patent covering the design, structure and function has issued. Complete prosecution of second US Patent covering Method of Manufacture and international patents in the EU, China, Japan and India. • Obtain CE Mark: To facilitate international distribution.
