Plainview Capital LLC is a private investment firm based in the Philadelphia area that acquires and grows lower middle market businesses headquartered in the Eastern U.S. We invest the capital of our principals and a small group of private investors in high-potential companies that can benefit from our principals' diverse experiences as business operators, financial executives and strategic consultants. We are particularly interested in light manufacturing, consumer goods, business service and value-added distribution investment opportunities. We look for businesses with histories of sales growth and profitability and tend to focus on opportunities with revenues of $3.0 - $50.0 million and EBITDA of $0.5 - $5.0 million.
Our approach to investing is situation specific. We believe that the broad range of circumstances involved with ownership transitions in the lower middle market requires a flexible approach to transaction structuring. We make controlling investments and typically prefer that sellers maintain some form of interest in the businesses we acquire for a transitional period.
Our approach to managing the businesses we acquire is also flexible. We assess the capabilities of their management teams and work collaboratively with them to provide resources they do not possess in-house. We establish creative incentives for our business leaders to achieve operational goals and drive investment returns. We are patient, "buy and hold" investors and do not have any mandated exit timeframes. Our objective is to acquire high-quality businesses and position them for long-term value generation.
