Introduced for the 1982 World's Fair (and Energy-themed exposition), Petro's Chili & Chips enjoyed world-wide exposure and was one of the hugest hits of the fair. On to the World Exposition in New Orleans in 1984 to similar raves, and then opened the first permanent location in Knoxville TN's West Town Mall in September of 1985. Over the years, Petro's has opened in mall food courts, free standing venues, strip centers and is currently in the University of Tennessee's Neyland football stadium, Thompson-Boling basketball arena as well as in Rocky Top at UT's student center. In the fall of 2010, excited fans will be able to enjoy Petro's and tea at the football stadiums at Georgia Tech, Auburn University, Vanderbilt University and Middle Tennessee State University. Petro's is the perfect game-day fare.
