Our firm is comprised of entrepreneurs, executives, and investors whose careers have been dedicated to working with privately-held businesses across a wide range of industries in the lower middle market. The mission of New Heights Capital is to build value by investing in people dedicated to growing exceptional niche companies. As advisors to and partners with management, we help to build a more successful company by offering: strategic and operating guidance; business development planning and implementation; acquisition sourcing, analysis, & funding; and executive and key employee mentoring. Our transactions give liquidity to owners, capital for expansion, broader equity participation for key employees, and a transition plan for owner/operators, if desired. We are experienced with the special market, business and cultural/family issues that smaller entrepreneurial companies face, and can flexibly structure transactions to address owners' priorities and concerns. Our goal is to achieve superior investment returns through revenue growth, earnings improvement, and investment in the organizational structure of the small market leaders that we acquire. Our capital, relationships, experience, and resources should be a competitive advantage to the companies as they grow Investment Criteria We are focused on identifying and leading direct private equity investments in established companies in the lower middle market that meet a majority of the following criteria: Geography United States and Canada (preference for east of Denver) Financial Minimum revenue of $3 million Profits of $1-$5 million Company Characteristics Small market niche leaders Defensible market position with barriers to entry Non-cyclical revenues Consistent pre-tax profit margin greater than 10% Growth potential internally or through consolidation Industry Focus Services (business to business, business to consumer) Niche Manufacturers (proprietary/engineered products) Branded Consumer Products Healthcare Value-added Distribution Specialty Retail/Catalog/Internet Management and the specific company characteristics are viewed as far more significant to the investment decision than the industry.
