Meritas is a worldwide family of college-preparatory schools that provides a world-class, highly personalized education for each student in a nurturing environment. Our curricula and approach to teaching are personally designed to challenge every student to excel both inside and outside the classroom. Our mission is to develop students who understand and can navigate the world, are able to succeed at their top-choice college or university and accomplish the goals they set for themselves.
With this mission in mind, we teach students to think critically, ask thoughtful questions, use higher-order reasoning and solve problems creatively. Meritas graduates are confident, articulate and fully engagedadults. They love to learn, take initiative for their own education and actively seek to make a difference in their world. What Makes Meritas Schools Unique?
Utilizing an individualized approach, our team collaborates to ensure each child makes optimal progress, both academically and socially. We create a Personal Learning Plan for each student based on his or her unique interests, academic and personal needs, and learning style. We employ best-practice teaching techniques and frequent assessment to ensure we meet the goals of the plan.
Students learn within small classroom sizes in a nurturing environment. Teachers are able to spend a meaningful amount of one-on-one time with each child.
Through our global network we are able to attract, train and support some of the most dedicated and talented teachers in the world. Our teachers are provided with intensive professional training and opportunities to share best practices with colleagues in other schools around the world. Meritas provides numerous global event opportunities for children from Meritas schools around the world to gather in one place, develop a cultural knowledge and gain real-world experience with new friends. These unique, diverse school programs also help students differentiate themselves in the college application process. The Student Government Summit, Meritas Academic Olympiad and Fine Arts Festival are just a few of the annual events available to Meritas students. In addition, we bring our global family into the classroom by developing programs such asTouchpoints, which allows our students to debate global topics with classmates across the globe.
Exceptional college counseling centers on top-choice acceptances for all students and begins in the 6th grade. The process focuses on building young adults who are ready to be successful inside and outside the college classroom from day one. Our international preparatory schools benefit from the resources and knowledge of our global family.
