Main Street Overview Main Street Capital Corporation is a principal investment firm that provides long-term debt and equity capital to lower middle market companies. Main Street's investments are primarily made to support management buyouts, recapitalizations, growth financings and acquisitions of companies that operate in diverse industry sectors and generally have annual EBITDA ranging from $5 million to $75 million. Main Street seeks to partner with entrepreneurs, business owners and management teams and generally provides "one-stop" financing alternatives to its portfolio companies. Advantages of Working with Main Street Main Street manages multiple investment funds, two of which are licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration as Small Business Investment Companies ("SBIC"). Accordingly, Main Street has over $2.0 billion of investment capital under management, a significant portion of which is currently available for investment. Therefore, no financing contingency exists when working with Main Street. Since inception of Main Street's first SBIC in June 2002, Main Street has invested in over eighty (80) independent portfolio companies representing over $500 million of invested capital in the lower middle market. As a result, Main Street has significant experience in executing transactions and can complete the process in a timely, efficient, effective and professional manner. Main Street is internally managed and all investment decisions are made by Main Street's management team. As such, no third party approvals are required in order for Main Street to complete proposed capital solutions. This approval discretion provides Main Street significant flexibility in structuring proposed capital solutions and provides Main Street the ability to act as quickly as target companies desire.
