Via a network of institutional investors, family offices and investment advisors the placement team at Gar Wood is able to provide cost-effective access to capital solutions in an underserved segment of the industry.
Industry Focus Our investor base is diverse and therefore enables Gar Wood Private Capital Group to engage clients across many sectors: alternative energy, consumer, digital media, Ecommerce, education, FinTech, healthcare, healthcare IT& Services, life sciences, SAAS and software, tech enabled services among others.
Transaction Types Most of the situations that we consider have a capital need in the $3-$25 million range, can be equity, debt or a combination of both.
Investment Criteria Well managed growth companies with revenues greater than $1 million and some EBITA or a clear path to profitability are generally well received by our investor base.
Fees Our model allows us to work primarily on a success fee basis with a small initial fee for internal diligence. We rarely charge retainers for our efforts
Time Line
The Private Capital Group works on an efficient time line, from the time of a signed engagement a new company can expect to have due diligence and approval in under 4 weeks in most cases. Depending on the size and scope of a raise a typical capital raise in completed in well under 6 months.
