About Exaltare
Exaltare Capital Partners, based in Boston, MA, is a private equity firm that invests in owner-managed, family-controlled businesses and corporate divestitures via management buyout. We look for businesses with EBITDA of greater than $3 million that appreciate a value-added partner helping contribute to its future growth and success.
The word Exaltare means "to elevate" in Latin and it informs our investment approach in at least two ways:
We look for investments in superior businesses operated with strong management teams. Superior businesses did not become niche-leaders by accident; typically such a market position was earned as the result of providing differentiated value to its customers. We seek to partner with only elevated businesses.
Our goal is to preserve what has made these companies niche-leaders while simultaneously adding-value to help take our portfolio companies to another plateau. Every business is unique and as a consequence, our value creation plan is specific to each target and co-created with management. Exaltare's contributions to the plan may include acquisition strategy and support, IT systems support, growth initiatives and investments in adjacent markets, customer introductions, and strategic direction at the board level to name a few. We seek to elevate our companies to another plateau.
We invest in the consumer sector with a strong focus on franchisee, franchisor, and multi-unit businesses.
