I am an entrepreneur who previously co-founded PresenceLearning, an education technology company. My partner and I grew the company to >$30 million of ARR and raised >$50 million of capital across 7 venture capital / debt transactions. The company was ultimately majority-recapitalized at a valuation of $350 million. Prior to that I was a private equity investor at Bear Stearns Merchant Banking, investing out of a $1.5 billion dollar fund. During my time at BSMB, I evaluated dozens of transactions and closed a $105 million investment in Stuart Weitzman, Inc. I am very familiar with the process of conducting due diligence and negotiating/closing a transaction. My goal in partnering with Axial is to invest in and assume the CEO role for a company that I will grow to several multiples of its current scale. I am open to a broad array of industries consumer services (which will leverage my experience at Evernote), but my core strength is in b2b industries with recurring revenues. I am open to a variety of transaction structures.
