Preferred acquisitions have most of the following characteristics:
· Price $ 4 million and below
· EBITDA at least $300,000
· Strong gross and net margins
· B2B (manufacturing, distribution, business services, etc)
· History of steady sales and profits
· Repeat customers with moderate to low concentration
· Strong position in a niche market
· Positive brand image and/or proprietary product line
· Cohesive team with good values
· Durable industry characteristics (unlikely to be disrupted)
· Owner/founder ready to retire in the near future
