Private equity firm ClearLight Partners acquired a significant ownership interest in Consumer Safety Technology, LLC, the manufacturer of the state-of-the-art Intoxalock breath alcohol monitoring devices. Intoxalock devices are used primarily in DUI driver's vehicles to prevent it from starting when the driver has consumed alcohol.
Consumer Safety Technology, LLC, was advised by BCC Advisors, and the deal was a result of a connection made through Axial.
Update: In March 2017, ClearLight Partners successfully exited their investment in Intoxalock to Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe for an undisclosed amount.
