The “Common Categories” feature takes the 15,000+ distinct sub-categories in Axial’s industry taxonomy and maps them into 50 thematic industry categories, making it much easier for buyside members to achieve niche deal coverage via Axial. In preliminary testing, certain members were more than 2x’ing their annualized inbound deal funnels with the use of “Common Categories.” The upside can be very significant, and incorporating them into new or existing buyside projects is easy.
