Western Oil Exploration Company is a Colorado Corporation and Operator of a Joint Venture Partnership with 10,000 acres located at the intersection of the Chainman & Pilot Basins -adjacent to the thrust faulted Nevada Rift in White Pine County, Nevada. Western's leasehold is underlain by +4,000' of Chainman and +400' of Pilot (Bakken age) shale that is thermally mature and a perfect seal for the porous dolomite host slide blocks below. Dolomite host deposits are responsible for 14 of 17 new field discoveries in North America this year and are responsible for 80% of the largest oil fields in the world. Western's #1 target occupies 4,000 acres in size. This target prospect is capable of containing in excess of 1 Billion barrels of oil or equivalent gas reserves. The United States Geological Survey has published a resource reserve estimate for the Northeastern Nevada as containing 1.6 Billion barrels of oil or equivalent. Western is of the opinion that the shale resource values mitigate the risks and considerably add to the resource value of the project.
