The University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) is a for profit higher education institution registered in Jamaica and in the USA. It is privately held institution offering professional Certificate, Diploma, Associate, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs as well as customized training programs, as well as two doctoral programs in partnership with the University of Sunderland in the UK. UCC has both local and institutional accreditation from the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) and the UK-based Accreditation Services for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC).
The UCC main headquarters is located at 17 Worthington Ave, Kingston, Jamaica, with five physical campuses and UCC Online/UCC Global. UCC was formed in 2004, as a result of a merger in 2002 of the Institute of Management Sciences, which was incorporated in 1992, and the Institute of Management and Production, which was incorporated in 1976, and currently has approximately 7,000 students annually, and 400 faculty and staff members, including part-time and full-time academic staff.
