Stephen G. Morrissette, is the Managing Director of Providence Advisors, Inc. a provider of consulting services to bank banks including strategic planning, capital planning, credit analysis/process/culture, mergers & acquisitions, profit and performance improvements. Formerly he was CEO of First Community Financial Partners, a 4 bank holding company with $950 million in assets headquartered in Joliet, Illinois. He was the founding CEO in 2004 of the lead bank, First Community Bank of Joliet. He is also an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of St. Francis in Joliet and a professor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Mr. Morrissette previously held several positions within BankOne including SVP of Strategy of the Global Commercial Bank, CFO of BankOne’s middle market bank including American National Bank of Chicago, and CFO of First Chicago’s retail bank. He joined BankOne when they purchased his bank, AmeriFed Bank, in 1995. He serves on several bank, corporate, and non-profit boards. He holds a PhD in Finance and a MBA from the University of Chicago.
