TransRail Innovation Group (TRIG) is a collaboration of technology and industry experts committed to solving health, safety, environment, economic and regulatory issues affecting North America’s hazardous liquids rail transportation industry. Leveraging extensive experience in sensor and machine-to-machine technology along with the input of industry experts and advisors, TRIG has been collaborating since 2012 on the development of a long anticipated hazardous liquids trans-loading level measurement device. TRIG’s level measurement technology will ensure rail cars are not shipped overweight, reducing spills, fines, and process inefficiencies. Additionally, the TRIG device will be mounted to the rail car eliminating the need for workers to open the rail car to check levels. A closed process eliminates exposure to dangerous gasses, ensuring worker health and safety. TRIG technology will solve important issues inherent in the hazardous liquids-by-rail trans-loading process.
