The Star Estate will be an environmentally friendly, craft distillery, boutique hotel, event space and small farm located at 1835 Broadway, Esopus, NY, in the heart of the Hudson Valley. We are utilizing two existing buildings on the property that comprise over 24,000 square feet previously used as a monastery and school for the past 150 years. It is situated on an iconic 27 acre waterfront property enabling both land and water access. The property is approximately 80 miles north of New York City and barring any heavy traffic conditions can be reached within an hour and half driving time from Manhattan.
The craft distillery on premise will put The Star Estate in a category on its own. Consumer demand and interest in craft spirits are exploding along with the tourism that follows it. Presently there is a boom in the agriculture sector of tourism, where consumers leave their urban centers to explore wineries, breweries, and distilleries. By leveraging the management teams 40 plus years of combined experience in hospitality, events, and the production and marketing of spirits, The Star Estate will establish itself as a one of a kind destination.
In the first phase, the hotel will consist of 25 rooms including three suites. In addition, the Hudson Valley is one of the top destinations for weddings, events, and agro-tourism. However, there is a shortage of quality locations to meet the demand and only a handful of destinations that offer a boutique hotel on site. The Star Estate will tap into this lucrative high margin market with our ability to cater to events of all sizes including but not limited to weddings, corporate parties, chartered tours, concerts and community events.
