Spartina Capital Management is a long-term investment vehicle founded by Matt Taylor to invest in and build enduring businesses for the long-term instead of maximizing short-term value. We seek to provide founders and owners an attractive alternative to traditional PE buyers that must sell after a few years. Matt was shaped growing up working in family businesses in NC, spend 11 years advising families on operating businesses and providing niche debt facilities for small and medium businesses.
Our goal is to be the preferred exit vehicle for a founder or owner/operator who wants to preserve what he or she has built over time. We can work with the current owner to continue operating, exit immediately or transition over time.
We want to invest and build on the attributes that make your business unique - the service, the employees and the customers - to preserve the culture and build upon your life’s work.
