Solar Silicon Resources Group (SSRG) owns the Lighthouse Mine, renowned as the world’s largest commercial deposits of High Purity grade raw vein quartz. Lighthouse mine is located 285 kilometres inland from Cairns, North Queensland, Australia. The deposit has an AusIMM JORC resource of 1.83million tonnes and is 99.99% pure quartz as mined straight out of the ground. It is the perfect raw material for processing into High Purity Quartz Sand (HPQS).
HPQS is a vital industrial component in all high-end electronics manufacturing. PV Solar Panels and Semiconductors cannot be made without HPQS. There are only three (3) main factories in the world capable of processing mined HP raw quartz into commercial grade quantities of HPQS. Global demand for HPQS far exceeds existing world production capabilities. During the last three years, with help from two (2) of the world’s leading experts, one who developed two of the other three factories in Norway and Russia, Solar Silicon Resource Group (SSRG) has achieved production capability of electronics grade HPQS at its Port Melbourne, Australia test facility. SSRG is well positioned to begin full-scale commercial production of electronics grade HPQS and to then become the world’s dominant producer and supplier of all grades of HPQS.
