What we look for:
EBITDA: $4M+
Equity per transaction: $20–100M
Ownership: Majority / control
Sectors: Essential services, including commercial and facility services; TICC (testing, inspection, certification, compliance); industrial services; environmental services; residential services; infrastructure and utility services
How we work. Collaborative, respectful of culture and legacy, and customized. We apply a genuine value-creation toolbox (add-on M&A, service-line expansion, commercial upgrades) rather than a one-size-fits-all model, back existing leadership and support leadership-driven transitions, and concentrate on a small number of platforms so each receives our full attention.
Structured to close. Barnsbrook is capitalized on a deal-by-deal basis, working with a core group of capital partners, and does not tie up processes it can't complete.
Leadership. Barnsbrook is led by Rob Polakoff, who began his career at Morgan Stanley before moving into private equity at Welsh Carson, Olympus Partners, and Solamere, where he was a Partner. As sole decision-maker, Rob engages owners directly and moves quickly, so founders deal with the principal rather than a committee.
