Jonathan grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where his passions for the outdoors, live music, and SEC football began. Sundays spent in church and hours volunteering after a tornado struck his hometown taught him the value of community in both good times and bad. After a few years in New York and California, he is excited to be back home in the South. Jonathan founded Rising Tide Growth Partners because he is passionate about growing a great company as CEO and improving the lives of others, especially employees and team members.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama, he worked at Barclays Investment Bank in New York, where he specialized in technology and business services companies. Jonathan then served as business co-founder of a battery materials company, founder of a COVID response nonprofit serving the elderly and immunocompromised, and also brings investing experience from his time at Piva Capital, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm. He is a graduate from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
In his free time, Jonathan enjoys playing electric violin and guitar, exploring national parks, and watching Alabama football with friends and loved ones.
