Peak XV Realty Capital was founded in 2020 as a spinout of Everest Properties, LLC by David Lesser and Jory Lesser. David most recently served as the President and CEO of Everest Properties, LLC. At Everest David invested in excess of $200,000,000 in more than 650 limited partnerships holding multiple real estate asset types. In addition to Everest’s partnership investments, David had general oversight responsibility for Everest’s multifamily, retail and self-storage portfolios. David also developed and managed Everest’s fixed income investment program which exceeded $1 Billion. Under David’s supervision, Everest and its affiliates became one of the largest private investors in US low-income housing tax credit partnerships involving multiples billions of dollars in real estate assets. Through Everest, David has a long, successful history of working with institutional partners, lending institutions and Government-Sponsored enterprises, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Peak and its affiliates currently hold a portfolio of multifamily properties totaling 1,100 apartment units in the Midwest and Southeast. Peak’s current portfolio of property is estimated to exceed $120,000,000 in value. David’s legal background, restructuring experience and understanding of complex investment structures makes Peak uniquely suited to manage complex real estate transactions.
David has been successful in taking advantage of both buying and selling opportunities by implementing a financial model that stresses stable cash flow with moderate leverage, resulting in consistent distributions to investors.
Peak services the entire life cycle of its investments from their acquisition to their asset management, and through any potential disposition. Peak has a long-term investment horizon and looks to provide stable cash flow and capital appreciation on its investments.
