My name is Matt Kavanaugh and my wife (Kelly) and I are looking to purchase a business in the greater Tampa Bay Area (Hernando all the way down to Sarasota).
We’re actively seeking a service-oriented business within the home care, commercial IT, or financial and accounting sectors. We would like for the business to have an SDE ranging from $750,000 to $1,200,000, primarily driven by annual recurring revenue (ARR). We are willing to look outside of these specific industries for the right business that fits both of our backgrounds.
We are qualified for opportunities up to $4 million no seller financing or $7 million with seller financing.
Matt is a strategic and financially minded Sales executive with extensive experience in scaling service-based operations and enhancing revenue growth. This includes being an integral part of scaling a startup firm that has gone from ~3M in ARR to $350M in ARR and a 3.5B valuation. Brings a proven track record in boosting operational efficiency, developing high-performing teams, and cultivating strategic partnerships. Ideally positioned to transform a business with modest sales and marketing foundations into a more efficient, profitable enterprise. Holds dual degrees in Finance and Management Information Systems and offers a robust understanding of recurring revenue models and high growth organizations.

Adept at partnering with executive leadership to align financial strategy with business outcomes, with deep expertise in compliance and operational efficiency.
