Abe McDonald and Josh Harkins operate on both the sell-side and buy-side of transactions, specializing in the sale and acquisition of privately held businesses and commercial real estate across the Southeast and Nationwide.
On the sell-side, we represent business owners and operators in confidential sale processes—identifying strategic or financial buyers, and managing due diligence through close. Our experience spans industries including oil & gas services, HVAC, facility maintenance, cannabis testing, and retail operations.
On the buy-side, we work with select investors—including our own family private equity office, Empire Holdings, based in Lexington, KY. Empire actively seeks to acquire companies in oil & gas services, HVAC, facility maintenance, and other business services sectors, particularly where there is opportunity for bolt-on growth and operational scale.
In addition to our business brokerage and M&A work, we are active in the acquisition and disposition of shopping centers across the Southeast. We represent sellers and buyers of stabilized and value-add retail assets and are currently advising clients who are shopping for centers across the U.S.
