Sumit and Arun founded Gulmohar Capital Partners (GCP), a private investment firm focused on acquiring and scaling software and tech-enabled services businesses across the U.S. and Canada. Under GCP, they established GRCS Trust, a permanent-capital platform focused on governance, risk, compliance, and security (GRCS) software serving CIOs, CISOs, and regulated industries. The platform's first acquisition was CurrentWare, and GCP intends to continue expanding GRCS Trust through additional acquisitions that strengthen its position within the broader GRCS ecosystem.
Sumit most recently served as CEO of SaaS company Groupe Voxco, which was acquired through Pivoton Capital (Stamford, CT) in May 2019. During his tenure, he recruited an experienced board of directors, a Head of Product, CTO, and VP of Marketing, while building a digital marketing engine that generated over 80% of new business wins. He also established an outsourced R&D organization that accelerated product velocity and helped increase net revenue retention from 95% at acquisition to over 105% at exit. In March 2023, Voxco was sold to Terminus Capital Partners, generating top-tier returns for investors. Following the exit, Sumit co-founded GCP and has been actively involved in driving value creation initiatives across CurrentWare, including go-to-market expansion, cloud transformation, operational scaling, and leadership development. He currently serves as a Board Member of Priory, one of Montreal's leading private schools.
Arun brings more than 18 years of investing, operating, and advisory experience. Most recently, he was an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York, where he advised industrial and technology companies on strategic and capital markets transactions. Over his career, he has led and executed more than $40 billion of M&A, leveraged buyout, restructuring, financing, and joint venture transactions involving businesses with enterprise values ranging from $100 million to over $25 billion. Prior to BofA Merrill Lynch, Arun worked in venture capital and growth investing, evaluating and supporting technology companies across multiple sectors.
