Sumit and Arun founded GCP to acquire SaaS and tech-enabled services businesses in the U.S. and Canada. Sumit served most recently as the CEO of the SaaS company Groupe Voxco, based in Montreal, which was acquired through Pivoton Capital (Stamford, CT) in May 2019. Among various strategic initiatives, Sumit recruited an experienced board of directors, a Head of Product, a CTO, and a VP of Marketing, while establishing a digital marketing team that accounted for over 80% of new business deals closed each year. He also engaged an outsourced R&D team to enhance product velocity, which helped increase net retention from 95% at acquisition to over 105% at exit. In March 2023, Voxco was sold to Terminus Capital Partners, generating top-tier returns for investors. Sumit remained for a one-year transition period and has recently stepped down from Voxco. He is currently a Board Member of Priory, one of the top private schools in Montreal. Arun has been in the finance and VC industry for over 18 years, most recently serving as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofAML), where he covered the industrial sectors in New York. At BofAML, Arun was the lead coverage partner for multiple clients in the manufacturing and industrial technology sectors, with enterprise values ranging from $1 billion to $25 billion. He has led several complex corporate transactions totaling more than $40 billion, involving M&A, LBOs, cross-border restructuring, and joint venture formations across various industries.
