About:
For years, rural homeowners and businesses have been deprived of reliable high-speed internet. There is a real desire in these communities for a company to meld the latest wireless and fibre technology creating an opportunity for success for whomever is first to market. On December 2016, the CRTC declared high-speed internet an "essential service" similar to hydro and gas and has declared $6 billion in funds over the next 10 years. The cost to install a fibre optic backbone has also gone down significantly resulting in the perfect point in time to launch Go Fibre.
Go Fibre plans to build its customer network through acquisitions and by building its own network. Go Fibre is focused and committed on delivering reliable high-speed internet in rural communities. We are fortunate to have no real competition except wireless, which is up to 200 times slower, less reliable and not able to keep up with future high speed demands unless supplemented by fibre.
Ability to service debt:
In year one, Go Fibre's financing will purchase 50% of an ISP and 100% of another ISP resulting 5,500 customers (there are a number of companies ready to be acquired). We will also purchase capital of approximately $2.5 million construction equipment with accompanying land and building. The financing will also fund material and staff required to build a fibre optic backbone that could be used over the next 100 years.
Experience:
Management team and staff have over 30 years experience operating and managing internet service providers. Finance and business development staff have over 20 years experience. Established team going back to 1996, no concerns with experience and ability to execute growth plan
Investor exit strategies:
Our goal is to build the company up to critical mass that makes it attractive to go public or be acquired by a larger telco like Rogers or Bell. The above has made venturing into rural communities feasible with predictable future cash flows.
