ENCON International, Inc. was founded in El Paso, Texas in 1989. From the opening days of our business, we marketed Consulting Services in Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, and Construction Materials Testing. Clients were served in the public and private business sectors. Appropriate Laboratory facilities and transportation support were provided for seven to ten Engineers, Technicians and administrative personnel. We operated in the black and grew steadily. We provided Environmental (underground storage tanks) and Construction Materials Testing Services to local municipalities. Geotechnical Services were provided to school districts and private businesses. Since 2000, ENCON has been very active in providing Geotechnical / Construction Materials Testing Services to the Military Construction (MILCON) project at Ft. Bliss, Texas and the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. ENCON is on the Jacobs Joint Venture Land Development Team. We have been involved in twenty different Task Orders to provide Geotechnical Studies for infrastructure and foundation recommendations for new design/build facilities. ENCON has also been providing CMT Services to general contractors building the Border Fence System along the U.S. and Mexico boundary from the Gulf to the Pacific. Today, ENCON’s largest project is an Environmental Engineering Project for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The project site is in Baxter Springs, Kansas. The Project is characterized as a remedial action of huge mine waste piles located on the surface. This prestigious “superfund” remediation project reflects our increased capabilities and potential. We plan to continue our technical and geographic diversity in the years to come.
