Elm Fork Partners stems from a history of entrepreneurship, corporate value creation, and successful outcomes for all parties involved. We are a Texas-based, single family office, focused on providing flexible and sustainable capital to companies, teams, and assets that are striving to create material value.
We are not a private equity fund, but rather a permanent capital source focused on providing capital to high quality companies or assets that exhibit the following characteristics:
High returns on invested capital (ROIC) and free cash flow generation
Significant barriers to entry and sustainable competitive advantages
Focused management teams with deep industry knowledge and high moral character
We have a legacy of founding, operating, and exiting companies in the energy, manufacturing, industrial, technology enabled services, and logistics industries. Ortowski Holdings is opportunistic and industry “agnostic” in our approach, although we avoid the consumer, retail, and early stage life sciences subsectors. Given our open mandate, we pursue investments in a variety of scenarios including:
Growth equity for organic or acquisitive purposes
Management lead recapitalizations
Corporate carve-outs or divestitures
Management or ownership without a clear succession plan or path to liquidity
Special situations: stressed or distressed opportunities (in court or out-of-court) in which liquidity is needed within various parts of the capital structure to preserve or create value
Typical deal criteria:
Annual revenue: $1mm - $30mm
Annual EBITDA: $300k -$10mm
Investment size: $3mm - $15mm
