Dos Gatos Ventures LLC was established in 2021 to manage new business ventures. A search has begun to identify the first business in the portfolio: an eternally profitable service business with recurring revenue, and $300k-$500k in EBITDA/SDE. The firm is owned by Rana Ara & Moxie Wanderlust (husband & wife) and it is the second company the two own together.
Rana Ara has an MBA from Wharton Business School and has had a 25+ year career in design, marketing and real estate. Over the past decade she has been a marketing leader focused on customer problems to be solved, to create unique product experiences and drive consumer adoption of the products through product and social media marketing. Her expertise is in setting a vision, developing a roadmap, managing stakeholder communications, and then driving execution in a collaborative manner.
Moxie Wanderlust has a BFA from UCLA School of Art and Architecture and has had a 20+ year career in product design and 8 years of executive leadership. Moxie’s background in design is backed by a Silicon Valley product design technique called Design 4 Delight. He brings this design thinking to all partner relationships, understanding the expertise and capabilities of each team member, which he uses to create a space for honest and transparent dialogue around how a vision can actually become a reality.
