Dividend Solar started from a core belief that positive economic and social returns are not mutually exclusive. After working at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch during the heart of the financial crisis, the founders discovered how misaligned interests between stakeholders can create negative economic and social outcomes. With that in mind, and recognizing the vast opportunity of distributed energy, Dividend Solar was formed. By lending directly to homeowners and partnering with leading installers, Dividend Solar replaces the misaligned incentives of the traditional solar financing model, and the high costs and red-tape of our banking system, with a transparent and technology-driven direct lending platform.
