Crosswalk Capital, led by Eddy Zakes, is actively seeking to acquire and operate a great business in the education sector, leveraging Eddy's unique experience and passion for the industry.
Eddy grew up in a family business setting, has served for nearly 15 years in numerous roles in the education sector, and, prior to founding Crosswalk Capital, co-founded and successfully exited a small business himself. With executive experience in education in the both the United States and Europe and ranging from early childhood through senior executive and adult education, Eddy has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to build and lead teams and create sustained value. Most recently, Eddy served as the Director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center at IESE Business School (ranked #1 business school in the world for Executive Education by the Financial Times for five consecutive years), where he led a team providing entrepreneurial coaching, support, and mentorship to the school’s 50,000+ alumni in 140+ countries. Prior to IESE, Eddy served as the VP of Advancement for Dayton Christian School System (preK-12) leading PR, marketing, communications, fundraising, alumni relations, and admissions for the multi-campus school system that at one point served more than 3,000 students on seven campuses.
In addition to earning his MBA at IESE in Barcelona, Spain, Eddy has been named an Expert on Entrepreneurship and Innovation by the World Economic Forum and was also recognized as a regional 40-under-40 business leader in 2015. A former colleague described him as “a genuine, caring person who talks the talk and walks the walk, uniting teams through infectious enthusiasm and natural, easy communication.”
