The founder, Heather Blond, is a veteran of the fashion design industry. Having served as a design director, she took the company she previously worked for from $8M/year in revenues to $99M/year in revenues in just 6 years. In 2013, she got her first orders for her own line. She shipped to 23 stores in her first season, setting a promising tone for the line. She has since partnered with another fashion industry veteran to focus on sales and marketing; he has been in talks with Nordstrom and Bloomingdales, and based on the response, is optimistic about the company’s sales prospects for 2015. Having bootstrapped the project with $180k in capital expenditure so far, the team is looking to raise up to $100k in growth capital.

Heather, a charismatic and determined entrepreneur, was born in deep in the heart of San Antonio, Texas, and raised on the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago, IL. Although she is a longtime resident of New York City’s Central Park West, she considers herself a citizen of the world – Her travels sweeping her around the globe at a moments notice and never staying in one place for too long… Her frequent trips to destinations around the world give her a unique design sensibility – lending special ease and wearability to her designs – and it keeps her sense of international style sharp. Having established a stellar reputation in the fashion industry, Heather decided to quit the corporate world and launch her eponymous collection in late 2012. After over a decade of working as a designer and design director, Heather was able to truly utilize her experience and skills in taking fabric, trims and accessories to create timeless, beautiful designs and fulfill her soul’s desire of bringing gorgeous travel dressing to every woman’s life through her Heather Blond luxury travel lifestyle brand. Her glamorous designs worn by celebrities are known for their unique melding of sensuality and chic style. Today her fabulous collection can be found at leading boutiques and resort stores throughout the world. In addition to resort wear, Heather’s label also appears on her highly sought-after accessory lines – including jewelry, bags and launching for Fall 20114 swimwear and fragrances, which reflect the designer’s artistic sensibility.
